Patchy, moderate to heavy rain continues this afternoon. The severe threat is low, but a brief strong storm is possible in South Mississippi. Rain decreases over the coming hours, followed by a few isolated showers and patchy drizzle for the remainder of the evening. A few additional showers or storms develop Tuesday, but nothing widespread.
Storms increase again Wednesday morning in advance of a cold front. There is a window of opportunity from around mid morning Wednesday until mid afternoon for some strong to severe storms. The greatest threat is north of I-20. Storms will be capable of producing gusty wind, large hail, and we can't completely rule out a spin-up tornado.
